Product Introduction The supply ship "Tokiwa" was commissioned in March 1990 as the second "Towada" class ship. In 1991, after the Gulf War, this ship participated in the support of the Persian Gulf minesweeping unit, which was the first overseas deployment of the Self-Defense Forces. Since then, it has been engaged in many missions, including supply support in the Indian Ocean and disaster relief in the wake of the earthquake.
