Fine Molds 1/72 Air Self-Defense Force F-2A Fighter Jdam Model Kit 72748 Japan Description Fine Molds 1/72 Aircraft Series Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-2A Fighter with JDAM Plastic Model 72748 The Japan Air Self-Defense Force's F-2 fighter was developed as a multi-role fighter capable of anti-ship and ground attack missions. With the introduction of this aircraft, the JDAM (Joint Direct Attack Munition), a device that combines GPS and INS (Inertial Navigation System) for precise guidance on conventional bombs, was imported as a weapon to be mounted on the F-2. Furthermore, starting from the later production models of the F-2, it became possible to operate the domestically-produced FLIR pod (Forward-Looking Infrared) on the aircraft. This kit includes parts for mounting 4 500-pound bombs with JDAM (GBU-38), FLIR pod, and the pylons on the outer wings.
